Dear Young person & Parent/Guardian
I am organising a Christmas trip to Plymouth on 6th December for young people aged 11 – 18. The day will include ice skating and shopping – a chance to get Christmas Presents for your family?
Ice Skating has been booked at Plymouth Pavilions. It is recommended that participants wear gloves, thick socks and clothing which covers arms and legs whilst skating. Hats are not permitted on the ice. Young people will have to remove objects from pockets whilst skating. Please also take note that there can be no bags, phones or cameras taken on the ice. But a leader will take care of personal belongings whilst young people are on ice.
Shopping will be in Drake Circus Shopping Centre and the High street. Please note that Young people will be unsupervised during the shopping part of this trip, however must stay in small groups. A meeting point will be located and young people will be made aware of it and asked to regularly meet back at this point. Young people will also be issued with a card noting my contact details and what to do in an emergency.
The itinerary of the day:
1030 Pick up from Chagford Pepper Pot
1200 Arrive at Plymouth Pavilions for skating
1330 Picnic Lunch – please bring a packed lunch! Then onwards to Drake Circus for shopping
1700 Tea at KFC
1930 Drop Off
The cost of the trip is £10 which includes entrance to skate rink and transport to and from Plymouth. We request that you sign the relevant consent forms and send them back with your cheque made payable to Paul Tilley by Sunday 30th November.
We hope you will be able to join us.
Yours faithfully
